SUMMARY:2018 Growing & Developing Supervisors 09/26 and 10/3/2018
DESCRIPTION:This is an intensive 2-day training program designed specifically for the new and experienced supervisor. Attendees must attend both classes: Sept. 26 and Oct. 3\nWe tend to promote our best worker to supervisor. Although this may seem like a good idea\, many times it backfires. Just because someone can work with the tools and hit production levels does not mean that they will be a good foreman or supervisor. How many hall of fame players went on to be hall of fame coaches? \n\nIn fact\, many times this new supervisor struggles with the new job. It has nothing to do with intelligence and tenacity\, and everything to do with the changing work behaviors and understanding the needs of the new position. Training is the critical factor to success. Every dollar your company makes or loses in some regards runs through the supervisors fingers. Their ability or inability affects the profits. There is no single thing that can make more of an impact on the bottom line than having an effective supervisor who understands the need to maximize labor efficiency\n\nThis intensive 2 day training program designed specifically for improving the performance of any manager or supervisor. This program addresses proven training methods in: leadership\, coaching\, planning\, time management\, communication\, motivational techniques and many more skills which will give the attending supervisor the edge and confidence to deal with to today's challenges. This program is not a lecture\; it is hands on program utilizing real world exercises and video recorded role plays that all attendees will utilize.\n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor\n\nFor over 30 years Kevin L. Dougherty has been speaking to the construction industry. Kevin represents a changing industry - aggressive\, realistic\, and open-minded. Kevin's work and education experience enables him to relate to today's problems and provides tangible solutions in an easy-to-listen style. He has taught thousands of people in various seminars. His client base ranges from family-owned businesses to corporate conglomerates. In addition to speaking and writing articles\, Kevin has served as sales manager\, project manager\, operations manager\, and corporate trainer for a multimillion-dollar mechanical contractor and specialty services contractor. Kevin has also been a frequent speaker for various SMACNA\, MCAA\, MSCA\, NECA\, SMART\, U.A. PHCC\, ISA SBA\, and other trade associations. \n\nKevin's humorous and energetic speaking style has made him a convention favorite. He has spoken to such groups as Benjamin Moore & Co.\, 3M\, Johnson Controls\, W.R. Grace\, Ferguson Enterprises\, Morton International\, Manville/Schuler\, and Hagemeyer Electrical Australia\, just to name a few.
