SUMMARY:2022-04-19-John Koontz-PM/Foreman Day 5
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, April 19\, 2022 PM/Foreman Training-Day 5 With John Koontz\n\nPrevious Classes are not required\n\n\nAM SESSION\n\nEssential Management Skills\n\nLearn the unique\, basic management skills of the mechanical project manager and the project foreman. The primary focus of this session is ?People Management?. Gain an understanding of the essential traits\, skills\, and behaviors that allow effective management.\n\nAFTERNOON SESSION\n\nMechanical Scheduling: Project Leader vs. Project Follower\n\nUnderstanding the Basics\n\n\n\nThe days of relying upon unrealistic and illogical schedules created by General Contractors and Construction Managers are long gone. In today's complicated and challenging construction market\, Mechanical Contractors must be become project leaders not continue to be project followers. To be a project leader\, the MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER AND FOREMAN must jointly develop a logical\, reasonable\, and achievable mechanical project schedule. The mechanical work must then be managed against that schedule and thereby using it as a project baseline. \n\n \n\nScheduling the mechanical work also provides more project control and better documentation when projects\, which are often delayed by others\, are forced to accelerate to meet the original completion date. Mechanical contractors who do little project scheduling often find themselves at the mercy of unrealistic CM/GC/owners? schedules that lack mechanical detail activities. \n \n\nClick Here For Full Flyer
