All Permit Applications filed on or after July 1, 2026, must comply with the 2021 I-Codes.
To support applicants, design professionals, and contractors through this transition, L&I will host a second webinar series covering;
- Key Changes between the 2018 and 2021 I-Codes
- Local amendments and modifications
- Updated forms and procedures

This 1-hour session will provide an overview of the City of Philadelphia’s Special Inspections program. This program provides for a specialized third-party inspection of selected materials, equipment, building components, or projects, as required by the Philadelphia Building Code. During this session, we will review special inspector licensure categories and qualifications; responsibilities of all involved parties; steps in identifying required inspections and submitting certifications through eCLIPSE. This session will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, via Zoom.
